Relationship Ramblings: Photo Album

This week I bring to you the photo album portion of The Love Box!

This photo album was created using all the photos I had of us at that point in time. I printed them all out (which I never do anymore) and filled the pages of the photo album.

Again, I put lyrics and quotes in the blank spots of the photo album.

My favorite part of this photo album now is that all of those photos are no longer on my computer after a terrible virus wiped it clean. Had I not put all of these photos in this album then all of those memories we created when dating would only be memories. These pictures are such a sweet reminder to me of our love story!!

I think it would be a great idea for you to print your photos to save forever. Now that we are in the digital age we have few printed photo albums, but I have to say these are probably my most cherished photos!

I Captured Pink.

I was visiting The Small Town Mom today when I discovered this fun link up hosted by I Should Be Folding Laundry! I really do like doing What I Wore Wednesdays but I've been failing majorly. It's so hard to take photos of myself, and this is something I can do without someone else to help me. So I guess I am kind of cheating for my first link up as I took these a couple weeks ago, but I just happened to capture a LOT of pink that day!! I thought about going outside and propping my feet up to take a picture of my neon pink toes, but these photos are far too beautiful not too share.
(Mind you nature is beautiful, the photographer has no skills)

These photos were taken for my nieces 1st birthday pictures in Tyler. Most of them were take at the Rose Gardens which are just GORGEOUS! Not to mention they are my favorite flower!

Relationship Ramblings: The Journal

Last week I shared with you the Love Box and promised to go into more details in the weeks to come. So this week I bring you the journal! :)

I wrote this on the inside cover...

I wrote my first letter on the first couple pages of the journal. I wanted it to be a place where we wrote each other love letters over the years. The first letter was a year after Cody lost his grandfather so must of my letter had to do with that & knowing his desire to be like his grandfather some day.

I then wrote verses, lyrics and love quotes in red ink on random pages throughout the book.

Since then we have written to each other the occasional letter...

or to write out a list of things we love about each other!

I love this journal and will cherish it forever. I look forward to writing in it as well as receiving letters from Cody!

What I Want to Wear!!

If I could walk into Old Navy today with a bunch of money and the perfect body then I would have these summer outfits in my closet. However, my body doesn't always allow for me to wear whatever I want.

How cute would this be for a date night?

This would be a great summer activity outfit! Frisbee? Picnic? Yes please!

(The wedges are so not practical for me though, but a girl can dream!)

I'm 28 now!

I have ALWAYS loved my birthday! It's sad how the older you get the less exciting your birthday is unless you are hitting a marker...30, 40, 50...

I like people to make a big deal of my day. I like surprises. I like having a day all about me!

So what was exciting about my 28th birthday? Let me share!!

I received these cards as part of the Love & Envelopes birthday club!
Megan from Moon Beam Wishes made me the adorable card on the left and Nicole from Team Pipkin sent me the sweet card, gift card & bookmark. Now the book I am reading can have a bookmark instead of a random receipt!

My mom surprised me at work by bringing me this incredible edible arrangement! I've always wanted one of these so was super excited about it. I am allergic to melons so my mom had to special order my bouqet. She loves me! She also offered to take me out to lunch, but to her luck my boss took us all out and she got treated to lunch too!

My husband had these beautiful flowers sent to my office Friday afternoon!!
I was completely surprised which made it all the better. My co-workers birthday was the day before mine so I just assumed they were for her, much to my surprise they were for me!!

Super excited about this gift from my mom because now I can finally get my craft room organized! She even got me tons of thread which I've been needing.

Oh and I guess I should mention that my husband got me a Silhouette for my birthday!!
I got it several months ago and need to really play with it far more frequently.
