to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.
Sometimes I think we all need this etched somewhere that we will see every day and be reminded that this union is meant to be forever. I think a huge chunk of that vow is easy for us but it's that"for worse" part that gets us. We can stay committed when our spouse is sick or when the money is tight, but when a really nasty argument takes place that happens to be the same argument you've had a few times you suddenly want to go running.
God in his infinite grace can restore your marriage, my marriage. He can reconcile your relationship. He can. I believe this to be true & have seen testimony after testimony of this truth. I love that He is for our marriage.
I write all this because I just want to encourage you to fight for your marriage even if you feel like there is no hope. Check out these resources I've stumbled across lately and be encouraged.
Thankful for a pastor & a church who provide us with such excellent sermons & articles that I often don't even need to leave our church wesbite. There are a few others I've found on my own too.
